Job summary

THERAPY 2000 in Alvin, TX seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to deliver pediatric home-based therapy. The role emphasizes collaboration, compassionate care, and clinical excellence, with opportunities to work with families in their homes across Texas.

You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with physicians and caregivers. The position offers a sign-on bonus, PTO, insurance, 401k with matching, mileage reimbursement, and continuing education options.

Qualifications

• Active Texas SLP license
• Minimum 3 years pediatric experience
• Experience in home-health settings
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (VitalStim, SOFFI, SOS, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Develop treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs with patients’ caregivers.
• Collaborate with patients’ medical neighborhoods and coordinate care between providers.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits weekly as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and paperwork.
• Coordinate with agency personnel to maintain understanding of expectations and standards for care.
• Adhere to agency policies and applicable laws in home-health pediatric speech language pathology.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Texas.

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric speech language pathology.
