Job summary

Therapy 2000 seeks a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (bilingual preferred) to provide home-based therapy in the Alief/Chinatown area of Houston, TX. You will evaluate, plan, and implement intervention for pediatric clients, collaborating with families and healthcare teammates to support each child’s development at their home.

Active TX licensure and 3+ years of pediatric SLP experience are required, with home-health and feeding therapy experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in Texas.
• 3+ years as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist.
• Experience in home-health setting.
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or related specialties (VitalStim, SOFFI, SOS, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine therapy needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Create home exercise programs with patients’ caregivers.
• Collaborate with other providers to coordinate patient care.
• Complete minimum weekly patient visits as required.
• Maintain timely chart updates, progress summaries, and logs.
• Engage with agency staff to ensure understanding of expectations and standards.
• Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric speech language pathology.
