Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language services to clients/patients/residents; monitor progression and adjust treatments.
• Instruct clients/patients/residents in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises; provide consultation.
• Ensure compliance with departmental standards, policies, protocols and quality requirements.
• May supervise assistants, aides, and students; participate in education and training as determined by department leadership.
• Work may focus on post-acute, long-term care and home health environments when applicable.
