Job summary

FlintHillsCRC is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive needs in accordance with state and federal guidelines. You will implement doctor-directed plans, conduct evaluations, and tailor therapy to improve communication and swallowing functions.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, collaboration with medical staff, and the development of individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state.
• Certification in clinical competency as applicable.
• One year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under physician direction, provides direct patient/resident treatment per the care plan.
• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatments to restore communicative abilities.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers on monitoring and practicing new skills.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Maintains patient records in a timely and accurate manner.
• Devises tools and treatments for specific patient needs.

Education

Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology

Current license in Speech Therapy

Certification in clinical competency

One-year clinical experience preferred
