Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA seeks a licensed speech-language pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with cognitive-communication and swallowing impairments across age groups. The role collaborates within an intra-disciplinary team to support rehabilitation and educate care partners.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, planning individualized care, discharge planning, education, and supervision of students. ASHA CCC or CF eligibility and GA license required.

Qualificações

• Master's or Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology.
• Licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.
• ASHA CCC-SLP or CF leading to licensure eligibility.
• BLS Certification.
• Clinical placement depends on population and competencies.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluates patient’s speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities and develops an individualized Plan Of Care.
• Completes diagnostic assessments to create an individualized plan of care.
• Plans and delivers education and training for patient and caregiver understanding of capabilities and safety needs.
• Integrates diagnostic information to differentiate motor speech, cognitive-communication, language, voice, and dysphagia disorders.
• Makes recommendations for specialty services or consultations as needed.
• Uses evaluation findings to determine discharge planning needs.
• Participates in intra-department staff meetings and program committee assignments.
• May float to inpatient or post-acute programs for evaluation or treatment sessions.
• Performs other duties as required.
