Job summary

Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support cognitive-communication and dysphagia rehabilitation. You will evaluate patients, develop a Plan of Care, educate care partners, coordinate discharge planning, and work with an interdisciplinary team.

Occasional float to inpatient or post-acute programs is expected; strong documentation and ASHA/Cf CCC readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology.
• Licensed to practice in Georgia.
• ASHA CCC or CF leading to CCC eligibility.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop Plan of Care tailored to cognitive-linguistic and swallowing needs.
• Perform diagnostic assessments and educate patient and caregiver.
• Coordinate referrals and discharge planning.
• Document all therapy with required policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with intra-departmental teams and participate in research.
• May float to inpatient or post-acute programs as needed.
