Qualifications

Master's or Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology.
Licensed to practice in Georgia; ASHA CF eligibility.
Current BLS Certification.
Ability to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

Evaluates patient's speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities and develops a Plan Of Care.
Completes diagnostic assessments to create an individualized plan of care.
Plans and delivers education and training for patient and caregiver understanding of cognitive-linguistic and swallowing capabilities.
Integrates diagnostic information to differentiate motor speech, cognitive-communication, language and dysphagia disorders.
Makes recommendations for specialty services or consultations as needed.
Uses findings to determine discharge planning needs.
Participates in staff meetings and committee assignments.
