Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence and California licensure or license candidate status.
• 2–3 years experience in rehab settings preferred; required for some facilities.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and develop treatment plans for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Document services in medical records and communicate with families, physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Supervise Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care and related activities.
• Contribute to rehab team conferences, patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and caregiver training sessions.
• Maintain safety, accuracy in documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
