Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services in California seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility. You will evaluate and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, collaborate with families, physicians, and an interdisciplinary team, and document services in the medical records.

The role includes supervising Clinical Fellows and other SLPs, ensuring compliant documentation and billing, and contributing to program development.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in SLP from an accredited program.
California SLP license or license candidate under state regulations.
CCC credential (ASHA) required.
Current CPR certification, if required.
2–3 years of rehab experience in SNF or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides speech-language pathology services to maximize communication, cognition and swallowing.
Evaluates and treats patients, communicates with families and physicians, and documents services.
Supervises Clinical Fellows and other SLPs in direct patient care and related activities.
Maintains accurate, compliant documentation for regulatory and billing purposes.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and participates in care conferences.
