Job summary

Smith County Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive services within our in-house therapy program. You will screen, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans, discharge planning, and supervise assistants to support communication, cognition, and swallowing safety.

The role emphasizes collaboration with residents and facility staff, compliance with professional guidelines, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Valid state Speech Language Pathologist license.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services, including screening and evaluation of patients.
• Develop initial and ongoing treatment plans of care; discharge planning.
• Supervise assistants and rehab techs; manage case-related responsibilities.
• Maintain professional conduct aligned with quality and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing practice.
• Refer patients for assessment and treatment as appropriate and participate in team activities.
