Job summary

Apple Rehab Inc. seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide resident-focused therapy in our Torrington, CT facility. The SLP will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to maintain or improve residents’ communication and swallowing abilities.

Responsibilities include caseload management, collaboration with the rehabilitation team, and family education. Licensure in CT or eligible for licensure is required; experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited SLP program with CCC or CFY eligibility.
• Successful licensure in the state; long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, and implement resident care programs with speech therapy.
• Manage caseload and schedule individual or small-group sessions.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers in speech therapy for discharge.
• Adhere to PPS guidelines and ensure proper documentation.
• Supervise technicians and contribute to student training.
• Maintain safe, sanitary environment and comply with standards.
• Participate in continuing education and mandatory in-services.
