Job summary

LionStone Care is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients across healthcare, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings. The role focuses on improving communication and swallowing safety through individualized plans and therapy.

The SLP collaborates with physicians, nurses, and therapists, maintains thorough documentation in the EHR, and educates patients and families on strategies to enhance communication

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current SLP license; ASHA CCC-SLP preferred.
• Healthcare, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans; document findings in the EHR.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists in care planning.
