Qualifications

• Master of Science or Master of Arts degree from accredited college or university.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Current Virginia State Licensure; Maintains yearly CPR certification (adult only).

Responsibilities

• Provides Speech Therapy evaluations and treatments to overcome communication and swallowing losses.
• Communicates treatment progress to physicians and care teams; documents progress and re-evaluations.
• Coordinates treatment with nursing, dietary, and other therapists; participates in care plans and discharge planning.
