Job summary

Bon Secours in Petersburg, VA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (PRN, Days) to diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all ages. The SLP will conduct evaluations and design treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing function.

You will support patient education, collaborate with the care team, and participate in discharge planning while maintaining licensing standards and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice (required)
• CCC-SLP certification preferred within one year of hire (required within one year)
• BLS Basic Life Support certification preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for some sites or at hire for RSFH

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and patient conditions to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop discharge plans.
• Administer speech-language pathology treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Design programs addressing language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing.
• Educate families and caregivers for continuation of therapy at home.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in care conferences.
