Job summary

Methodist Rehabilitation Center is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. This role focuses on helping patients regain communication, cognitive, swallowing, and functional abilities after injury or illness.

New graduates are welcome to apply and you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and support patient independence throughout recovery.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Mississippi license or eligibility for licensure.
• CCC-SLP certification or active pursuit with anticipated attainment within one year.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled Speech-Language Pathology services to inpatients.
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, interventions, and progress.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and the healthcare team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and discharge planning.
