SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital seeks PRN licensed Speech‑Language Pathologists (CCC‑SLP) to join the Regional Speech Department as a Float SLP. Coverage across inpatient rehab and acute care facilities within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is available, with weekend shift differentials.

Tier I at $47/hour and Tier II at $52/hour apply. Candidates must hold Missouri SLP licensure, CCC‑SLP, and BLS, with ability to travel among network locations.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) required.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to travel between assigned locations within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans per physician orders.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology services across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Assess and treat swallowing, communication, voice, and cognitive-linguistic disorders.
• Direct and supervise therapy services as appropriate.
• Design functional treatment programs to promote safe discharge and return to daily activities.
• Educate patients, caregivers, students, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other health professionals to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional growth activities.

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and patient needs.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology services across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Assess and treat swallowing, communication, voice, and cognitive-linguistic disorders.
• Direct and supervise discipline-specific therapy services as appropriate.
• Design functional treatment programs to promote safe discharge and return to meaningful daily activities.
• Educate patients, caregivers, students, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement, program development, and continued professional growth activities.

Required

• Current Missouri Speech‑Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP)
• Current BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to travel between assigned locations within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network.

Preferred

• Minimum of two years of experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation.
• Independent experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS/MBS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).
