Job summary

Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (PRN) to help patients improve communication, cognition, and swallow abilities within a collaborative rehabilitation team. You will practice evidence-based care in a well-resourced environment and maintain strong clinical judgment while balancing workload.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• CCC-SLP certification within 1 year of start date.
• Master's degree required for the role.
• Licensure as an SLP is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete interdisciplinary evaluation and treatment as part of a team using age-specific competencies.
• Participate in conferences with physicians and other therapy team members.
• Complete patient and family education.
• Complete discharge planning with the therapy team.
• Document evaluation results, treatment plans, and patient progress per guidelines.
• Meet patient and family needs with effective communication and service principles.
• Maintain attendance, reliability, and time/material efficiency.
• Engage in self-development and Performance Improvement activities.
• Align daily work with HCA values and Code of Conduct.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Speech Therapist (SLP), you'll help patients improve their communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities through skilled, evidence-based care. Your role is key in helping patients make progress and independence while working closely with a supportive, collaborative rehabilitation team. You'll have the opportunity to practice in a well-resourced, consistent environment that values your clinical judgement and protects your time through clear caseloads, streamlined workflows, and network-backed clinical collaboration.

Your role will include:

1. Complete interdisciplinary evaluation and treatment as part of a team using age-specific competencies.

2. Participate in conferences with physicians and other members of the therapy team.

3. Complete patient and family education.

4. Complete discharge planning in conjunction with the therapy team.

5. Complete documentation of evaluation results, treatment plans, and patient progress per HCA guidelines.

6. Meet the personal and practical needs of patients, families, and other customers of FPH as described in "Patients" "First Service". Use appropriate & effective communication skills.

7. Accept accountability for completion of assignments, demonstrate reliability & dependability (including compliance with the attendance policy), and utilize time and material cost-effectively.

8. Continue self-development, provide leadership & actively participate in Performance Improvement Activities.

9. Reflect HCA values, policies and procedures, and its ethical and compliance principles in daily activities ("Code of Conduct").

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• (CCC-SLP) Cert of Clin Competence Speech Language Pathology must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
