Job summary

Frederick Villa Healthcare has an amazing opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist. We are an in-house facility with an "out of the box" approach to patient care. We provide our residents with all of the therapy they need and deserve.

Responsibilities include delivering therapies, instructing families, and documenting progress in accordance with policy and regulations. Maryland licensure and CCC are required for this role.

Qualifications

• MD licensure as Speech Language Pathologist in good standing.
• ASHA CCC credential required.
• SNF/long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health EDS preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities.

• Deliver therapies per established plan of care.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers.
• Measure and record communicative, cognitive, and swallowing functions.
• Monitor responses and adjust treatments as needed.
• Code billing information and perform daily billing.
• Complete documentation per policy and state/federal regs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
• Measures & records patient’s communicative, cognitive, and swallowing functions
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and makes modifications during treatment sessions as necessary
• Codes information for billing purposes; performs daily billing
• Completes documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Skills:

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities

Required licensure:

• Current License as Speech Language Therapist in the State of Maryland. Must be in good standing.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association
