Job summary

St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare invites a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders in a skilled nursing setting.

The clinician will document progress, adjust plans as needed, and collaborate with a strong rehab team to support patients and families in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania in good standing.
• CCC-SLP certification required.
• Experience in SNF/long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.
• Document treatments and patient condition changes per policy.
• Provide families and caregivers with instruction and support.
• Record and code treatment data for billing and compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation per state and federal regulations.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Therapist (SLP) will diagnose, plan, and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist will also be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
• Measures & records patient’s communicative, cognitive, and swallowing functions
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and makes modifications during treatment sessions as necessary
• Codes information for billing purposes; performs daily billing
• Completes documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Skills:

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities

Required licensure:

• Current License as Speech Language Therapist in the State of Pennsylvania. Must be in good standing.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association
