Job summary

AVONDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist for a ten-month, exempt position. The role includes a $1,000 stipend and a $750 sign-on compensation prorated by hire date.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, AZ licensure, and a valid AZ IVP fingerprint clearance card. The successful applicant will screen and evaluate students, participate in CST/MET/IEP meetings, and develop IEP goals with appropriate

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Arizona licensure from the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS).
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Must pass a background check upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate referred students per state and federal requirements.
• Attend Child Study Team (CST), Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET), and IEP meetings.
• Develop speech-language IEP goals, objectives, and accommodations.
• Complete state and federal paperwork within required timelines.
• Provide individual and group speech-language services per IEP.
• Prepare quarterly progress reports for each student.
• Complete MEDICAID reports and requirements on time.
• Participate in district training as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services.

I. Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current licensure from the Arizona Department of Health Services (A.D.H.S.)
• Must possess a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Must be able to pass a background check upon employment

II. Duties And Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate appropriately referred students within the State and Federal requirements.
• Attend and actively participate in all appropriate Child Study Team (C.S.T.), Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (M.E.T.), and Individualized Education Program (I.E.P.) team meetings.
• Develop speech-language related IEP goals, objectives, and/or benchmarks, including any appropriate accommodations for qualified district students as assigned.
• Complete all State and Federally required paperwork within required timelines.
• Provide individual and group speech-language services to students as described in the IEP.
• Prepare quarterly, or more frequent if needed, progress reports on each assigned student to include in the quarterly grade reporting process.
• Complete all MEDICAID reports and requirements in a timely manner.
• Participate in District training as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Special Services.
