Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Orlando Central is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our acute rehab unit housed inside the Select Specialty Hospital. The Per Diem schedule emphasizes evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders with a collaborative, patient-centered approach.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, design goal-directed therapies, and participate in ongoing peer review while contributing to program development and policy updates.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• BLS or completion within 90 days of employment required.
• Preferred CCC certificate from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of communication and swallowing function.
• Develop goal-oriented treatment plans to maximize communication and swallowing potential.
• Collaborate with Rehab Therapy staff to ensure quality interdisciplinary care.
• Assist in developing and updating departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain adequate supplies and share knowledge with colleagues.
