Job summary

Ernest Health, Inc. is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist per diem in Laredo, Texas. You will assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and related disorders within a premier inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Qualified candidates hold a graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology, current state licensure, and BLS; ASHA CCC-SLP or CFY is preferred. A collaborative, bilingual team and ongoing education opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Current State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA or CFY status or equivalent preferred.
• Two years’ experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and related disorders.
• Integrates the hospital’s mission and 'Guiding Principles' into daily practice.

What you bring

• A passion for patient care, a team player, motivating and collaborating therapist to assist patients to reach the best outcome.
• Graduate Degree from an accredited program in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current State Speech Language Pathology License.
• Current CPR

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Current and valdi state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or Clinical Fellowship Year status or equivalent preferred.
• Two years’ experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification from an approved required.

• Demonstrates appropriate application of age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines in caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
