Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat children in their homes, focusing on speech, language, feeding and swallowing needs. You will build meaningful relationships with patients and families while delivering care in the environment they are most comfortable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Current Texas SLP license or eligible by anticipated start date.
• Pediatric experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for each child.
• Provide therapy addressing communication, articulation, language, feeding and swallowing.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans.
• Educate families on carryover strategies at home.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
• Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
• One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Experience supervising assistants is preferred but not required

• Provide speech therapy services addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing skills
