Job summary

AdvisaCare in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a part-time basis, delivering personalized in-home therapy to clients in their own homes, helping them regain communication and swallowing functions.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, plan and implement tailored therapy, monitor progress, document outcomes, collaborate with nurses and occupational therapists for holistic care, educate families, and stay current with evidence-based

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current license in Michigan as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health care setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and their treatment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language disorders in clients.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address speech and language needs.
• Provide individualized therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and nurses, to provide holistic care for clients.
• Monitor and document progress and outcomes of therapy sessions.
• Educate clients and their families on strategies to enhance communication and maintain progress.
