Job summary

Metro's Speech Department in Mohegan Lake, NY is seeking a per diem Speech-Language Pathologist to join our outpatient clinic. Hours are flexible based on candidate availability, with a pay rate of $60 per hour.

The ideal candidate is a licensed NY SLP (CCC-SLP preferred) with experience serving both pediatric and adult clients and demonstrated ability to create effective treatment plans. Per diem role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed NY Speech-Language Pathologist or eligible.
• CCC-SLP certification required/in progress.
• Experience evaluating and treating both pediatric and adult patients.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop appropriate speech therapy treatment plans.
• Provide care consistent with physician plan and professional standards.
• Instruct family members and caregivers in speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs.

Job Description

Metro's Speech Department continues to grow and we are looking for a per diem SLP to work in our outpatient clinic located in Mohegan Lake. Hours are flexible based on your convenience. We have just partnered NYU and will be receiving referrals directly from their system.

Pay rate: $60/hour

Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients’ strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans.We’re looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
• Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Must have experience working with both pediatrics and adults
• Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
• Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers inappropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP
• Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course)
