Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for full-time work in Elmira, NY, in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role focuses on evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, delivering therapy to both children and adults, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve communication and swallowing outcomes. LICENSURE: NY licensure eligibility; CCC from ASHA or eligibility to obtain.

BLS required within 90 days. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Eligible for New York State licensure and registration.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain.
• One to two years of hospital-based experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and create individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.
• Provide direct therapy to pediatric and adult patients in outpatient or inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and techniques.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with policy.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, in-service training, and continuing education.
• Contribute to the development of innovative speech therapy programs and services.
• Possible float to other nearby center.
