Job summary

Sheltering Arms Institute in Virginia is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our outpatient teams at Bon Air and Short Pump. This role focuses on assessment and treatment of adults with swallowing and speech-language disorders in a collaborative, patient-centered setting.

Requirements include a Master’s degree from an ASHA‑accredited program, CCC‑SLP, Virginia licensure, and Healthcare Professionals CPR.

Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient therapy preferred.
• Good communication and organization skills with flexibility.
• AmpCare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat adults with swallowing and/or speech-language disorders in outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with care team to develop and adjust treatment plans.
• Document progress and communicate with patients and families.

Sheltering Arms is currently seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our outpatient team. This position provides coverage at our Bon Air & Short Pump (Main Campus) Centers.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of speech and language needs of adults with swallowing and/or speech and language disorders.

Compensation

• $35.00 - $51.00 per hour
• This range reflects our commitment to pay equity and market‑competitive compensation.
• Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in an outpatient therapy setting preferred.
• Good communication and organization skills as well as a strong sense of flexibility.
• AmpCare experience is a plus.

Education/Certifications

• Master’s Degree from an ASHA-accredited program in Speech and Language Pathology required.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) - SLP required.
• Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a SLP required.
• Healthcare Professionals CPR required.
