Job summary

East End SSA is seeking a licensed speech-language pathologist to identify students with speech and language impairments in collaboration with district staff and evaluate eligibility for special education.

The role requires a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology, Texas licensure, and a CCC-SLP. The position may involve working with multiple districts and campuses and documenting progress through daily logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence for Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist.
• Will consider a Speech Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Identify students with speech and language impairments, in cooperation with district staff and evaluate students for eligibility for special education
• Provide direct interventions to students using a continuum of service delivery options
• Re-evaluate students
• Serve multiple districts and campuses
• Make referrals to other professionals
• Participate in parent/teacher conferences as appropriate
• Collect and report student performance data as needed by the Director for agency reports/SPP indicators
• Communicate and coordinate with outside agencies
• Complete daily logs of student services
• Contribute to the development of IEPs, and IFSPs
• Complete service provider logs to document services provided to students
• Consult with teachers
• Other duties as assigned
