Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 15,500 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. Our District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9–12 th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

The Speech/Language Pathologist will be directly responsible to the Coordinator of Speech/Language. The function of the Speech/Language Pathologist involves many aspects. The first of these is to identify those children who exhibit a communication disorder, which interferes with their being understood when talking to others. The SLP then works with these children not only to help them express their unique needs but also to understand what others are saying to them. Another function includes giving basic ideas to parents and teachers, which may influence their work with children's speech and language skills.
Must have a valid Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL).
