Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in the Baltimore-Washington region. You will diagnose and treat patients with speech-language and swallowing disorders and develop therapy modalities based on severity, setting milestones and determining when therapy can be discontinued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• ASHA certification preferred or required.
• SP-L licensure in DC within 90 days is expected.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with speech-language and swallowing disorders.
• Develop therapy modalities based on severity and discontinue when appropriate.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations and establish treatment goals.
• Conduct and interpret clinical procedures (e.g., voice training, fluorography, PEs).
• Document progress notes and communicate with referral sources; participate in team meetings.
