The role includes supervising Therapist Assistants and Rehab Aides, collaborating with physicians and nurses, participating in quality initiatives, and supporting scheduling and staffing tasks while complying with licensure and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current license in Speech-Language Pathology (Maryland).
• CCC-SLP certification and BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Conducts therapy evaluations and treatments and documents according to policies.
• Participates in department or hospital community initiatives.
• Cross covers by evaluating and treating patients with various diagnoses.
• Engages in quality and patient safety initiatives and ICARE principles.
• Maintains productivity logs and meets departmental standards.
• Participates in interdisciplinary meetings and continuing education.
• Supervises staff Therapist Assistants, Rehab Aides, students, and volunteers.
• Consults with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care.
• Performs administrative tasks such as scheduling and staffing.
