Powerback is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to help patients communicate, swallow, and recover from disorders, by designing and executing personalized rehab plans.

The position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCC eligibility (or CFY), and appropriate state licensure.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow. We will also accept candidates who are eligible to obtain the Certificate of Clinical Competence.
• Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Help patients communicate, swallow, and remediate speech-language disorders; design and carry out rehab plans.
• Deliver effective, efficient rehab services and tailor plans to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with peers and refer to other clinicians to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and caregivers to promote independence and communication skills.
