LMH Health in Lawrence, Kansas, is seeking a Speech & Language Pathologist to provide evaluations, modalities and treatments for a designated patient group, following hospital and department policies and procedures. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care.

As part of the role, you will assess patient and family education needs, document progress, participate in quality improvement, and collaborate with physicians to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from accredited program.
• Current license through Kansas.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• BLS Certificate.

Responsabilités

• Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
• Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment to achieve goals.
• Provides care in accordance with physician’s orders and established plan of care.
• Assess educational needs of the patient, family, caregiver, or significant others and provides education to meet those needs.
• Communicates honestly with others and discusses issues and resolves problems as soon as they arise.
• Willingly assumes additional responsibilities to support team efforts.
• Actively participates in continuous performance improvement processes.
• Willingly embraces changes that will improve customer focused care.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position
