Job summary

UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for our Inpatient Acute unit. This onsite role offers days shifts, PRN with pay per hour based on experience.

You will conduct evaluations, create therapy plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and therapists to ensure coordinated care. A Master's degree and Colorado license are required, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies license to practice Speech Pathology required.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification required (cards valid through 60 days after hire).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, voice, and related abilities.
  • Develop and implement personalized therapy plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about communication or swallowing disorders, prognosis, therapy techniques and home practice strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, audiologists and teachers to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.

Speech Language Pathologist, Inpatient Acute

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, Aurora CO

Department: Speech IP Acute

Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant‘s relevant experience.

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Master‘s degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Speech Language Pathologist:
