Job summary

UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for inpatient acute care on a PRN, onsite schedule. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, with a focus on individualized therapy plans and caregiver education.

Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Minimum requirements include a master’s degree, CO licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies certification to practice Speech Pathology.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification with valid card through start date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, voice, and related abilities.
• Create and execute personalized therapy plans based on assessments and patient goals.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication or swallowing disorders and home practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, audiologists, and teachers for holistic care.
• Join a multidisciplinary team that supports professional growth and quality of care.

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, Aurora CO
Department: Speech IP Acute
Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant‘s relevant experience.
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

Minimum Requirements

• Master‘s degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Speech Language Pathologist

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients‘ speech, language, voice, and other related abilities.
