Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a School-based Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time, onsite contract in the Washington DC metro area, supporting elementary through high school students from August 2026 through May 2027.

You will conduct assessments, develop IEPs, collaborate with educators and families, provide direct therapy, and maintain detailed documentation to support student communication and academic success.

Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in Virginia.
• Prior school-based SLP experience preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

Job description

Step into a dynamic setting as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant Washington DC metropolitan area. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a remarkable difference in the daily lives of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Beginning in early August 2026 and spanning the academic year through late May 2027, you'll enjoy a full-time schedule, working 37.5 hours per week with a 185-day contract.

You'll collaborate with dedicated professionals while supporting a diverse range of students. Caseload details and school assignments will be determined based on need, ensuring a varied and rewarding experience across different age groups and abilities. Please note that this is a fully onsite positionremote or hybrid options are not available.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in Virginia
• Prior school-based SLP experience preferred
• Comfort and skill in working with diverse age groups (elementary, middle, high school)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
• Immediate willingness to initiate background and TB screenings as required by VA Department of Social Services
• Commitment to a contract running from 8/3/26 through 5/27/27
