Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with communication disorders and dysphagia, across neonate to geriatric ages. You will coordinate consultations, interpret assessments, and deliver targeted therapy to restore function.

You will supervise Rehabilitation Technicians, students, and observers, and may provide orientation for assigned staff in a collaborative, patient-centered team environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in SLP from an accredited program.
• ASHA CCC credential required.
• Georgia state licensure required for SLP practice.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech-language pathology services, coordinating consultations and diagnostics.
• Treats patients of all ages from neonate to geriatric to restore function.
• Supervises rehabilitation technicians, students and observers.
• May orient and guide assigned staff.

Education

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school

CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology

BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC
