Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct diagnostic and therapeutic services for communication and oral motor disorders to students and staff, ensuring care compliant with ASHA, HIPAA, and IEP guidelines.

The role emphasizes collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, conducting evaluations, setting goals, and communicating results to the IEP team, with supervision during CFY and opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • CCC from ASHA or eligibility to participate as a clinical fellow.
  • Minimum one year of work experience in communication and oral motor therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct, consultative, and supportive diagnostic and therapeutic services for communication and oral motor disorders to students and staff to enhance learning potential.
  • Works in accordance with ASHA, HIPAA, IEP, and Pyramid policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with all specialty/clinical disciplines, parents/guardians, and staff to meet individual communication needs.
  • Performs evaluations and assessments for students per IEP mandates.
  • Authors goals and objectives for each student served.
  • Communicates assessment results to IEP team members.
  • Recommends assistive technology for communication development.
  • Determines level of direct/indirect services to support IEP goals.
  • Maintains ongoing case documentation as required.
  • Attends conferences and training to stay current on SLP best practices.
