Job summary

Westminster Public Schools seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Integrated Services team. The position is located at the International School at Harris Park, with 8 hours/day and 185 days/year; new hires may have 190 days in the first year.

Responsibilities include identifying students with communication disorders, planning interventions, team collaboration, progress monitoring, and IEP-driven work within a Learner Centered Classroom.

Qualifications

  • Must hold or be eligible for Colorado SLP licensure.
  • Colorado Special Services license or eligibility prior to starting date.
  • ASHA CCC desirable or CFY supervision available.
  • Knowledge of competency-based approaches is preferred.
  • Experience with culturally diverse populations is desired.
  • Strong reading and writing English skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify students with communication disorders by completing assessments.
  • Plan instruction and interventions to support learners in the Learner Centered Classroom.
  • Collaborate with interventionist team and teachers regarding student communication needs.
  • Monitor progress and provide specific feedback to students.
  • Establish effective classroom management per Board Policy and school rules.
  • Fulfill contractual and professional responsibilities.
  • Be a member of the IEP and Interventionist team.
  • Develop integrated IEP planning and interventions for access and achievement.
  • Submit required paperwork for IEP meetings and Medicaid billing.
  • Provide professional information to support students, staff, parents and administrators.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of district curriculum.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director of Integrated Services.

Reading/Writing English proficient
