Job summary

Active state licensure is required, with ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or SLP-CF considered with supervision. A hospital background and BLS certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Active license to practice in the state of employment is required.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA or SLP-CF considered on a case-by-case basis with supervision.
• At least one year in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
• Plan and implement treatment as prescribed by a physician.
• Assist in developing and implementing new programs in the department.
