Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws and in coordination with the health care team
• Evaluates patient function and assists in developing therapy plans
• Treats patients to improve communication and swallowing using standard practices
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses and progress to the supervising nurse/physician
• Instructs patient and family in speech therapy areas for participation
