Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist in Lebanon, TN to provide patient-centered care in a supportive team environment.

The SLP will evaluate, treat, and educate patients and caregivers, ensuring therapy goals are met and documentation is completed according to agency policy. A Master’s degree and active licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current BLS or CPR certification per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises to support progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes noting patient’s response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
