Job summary

Brookville Center for Children’s Services seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat students per IEP/IFSP. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document thoroughly, and engage families to support communication goals.

Qualifications include a Master’s in SLP, NYS licensure, ASHA CCC, and NYS Medicaid enrollment. Experience with preschool and school-age populations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and NYS licensure are required.
• CCC from ASHA is required; NYS TSSLD/TSHH certification preferred.
• NYS Medicaid enrollment is required.
• Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of speech-language disorders is essential.
• Minimum of 1 year with preschool and school-age populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ needs with formal and informal measures.
• Develop and implement therapy for speech, language and pragmatics.
• Provide services per students’ IEP/IFSP frequency and duration.
• Communicate progress to team, families, and appropriate staff.
• Participate in conferences (IEP/IFSP/CPSE/CSE) as assigned.
• Maintain documentation per NYSED/DOH requirements.
• Supervise interns as requested and keep university supervisors informed.
• Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

New York State licensed and registered Speech-Language Pathologist

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA

NYS Education Department Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped OR Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities

NYS Medicaid enrolled provider
