Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for our Prospect Center school. You will deliver speech-language pathology services, assess students, and develop treatment plans, while maintaining detailed clinical documentation and collaborating with physicians and educators.

Qualifications include a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology, NYS licensure, and NYS teaching certifications (TSHH/TSSLD) with ASHA CCC for supervisors.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree (Masters) in Speech-Language Pathology.
• New York State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• NYS Teaching Certification as TSHH or TSSLD.
• ASHA CCC is required for supervisors of interns.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality speech-language pathology therapy services.
• Assesses current level of function and needs.
• Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan.
• Maintains complete and accurate clinical documentation.
• Cosigns documentation completed by Clinical Fellows and students.
• Communicates with physicians, IDT members, caregivers, vendors and school districts.
• Evaluates treatment outcomes and modifies plans as needed.
• Maintains clinical and professional knowledge base.
• Writes scripts and communicates diagnoses with physicians.
• Complies with Federal, State, and local requirements.
• Supervises Clinical Fellow candidates and student interns.
• Maintains continuing education requirements for licensure.

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

New York State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

NYS Teaching Certification (TSHH or TSSLD)

ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
