Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to help patients improve communication, cognitive and swallowing abilities within a collaborative rehabilitation team. You will base care on evidence-based practice and maintain clear caseloads and efficient workflows.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, CCC, and Basic Life Support within 30 days of start date, with CCC within 18 months. No travel. At least 1 year of experience is preferred. Eligible for comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments and observations.
• Developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans for communication and swallowing.
• Documenting evaluations, notes, progress, and discharge summaries accurately.
• Educating patients and families on goals, safety, home strategies, and progress.
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation staff, and care managers.
