Job summary

Brio Living Services in Chelsea, MI is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency impairments as part of in-house rehab services across SNF, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Independent Living.

The role requires a state license, experience in therapy, and the ability to work within a collaborative, supportive team on a 58-acre campus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Therapy program.
• Current Speech Therapist state license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift and move objects, weighing up to 35 pounds.
• 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs hearing and/or speech and language examinations.
• Evaluates hearing and /or speech and language test results.
• Evaluates barium swallow, other test results, and overall medical background.
• Diagnoses patients and formulates treatment plans.
• Educate patients and family members about the various communication methods to cope with impairment.
• Writes reports and maintains client information.
• Performs administrative responsibilities: coordinates paperwork, writes lesson plans, schedules case management activities, and performs record-keeping for administrative, billing and caseload purposes.
• Develops individual and/or group activities and/or programs.
• Participates in the planning and implementing of individualized educational planning (IEP) meetings, in-service meetings, or intervention assistance team meetings.
