Qualifications

  • Credentialed Speech Language Pathologist in Early Intervention (or willingness to obtain).
  • 1+ years experience in speech pathology preferred, but strong CF candidates may be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Midwest Pediatric Therapy is a therapist-owned pediatric speech and occupational therapy practice in Bloomingdale, IL and we are growing! We are seeking a creative and passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated and outgoing team! We are currently looking for an enthusiastic SLP to see pediatric clients in our Bloomingdale clinic as well as within our local Early Intervention program.

At MWPT:

You will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of disorders including (but not limited to): phonological and articulation disorders, language delays/disorders, social communication disorders, Autism, CAOS, and fluency disorders. Treatment sessions are typically conducted in a 1:1 setting; co-treating with OT is also a possibility, depending on individual client needs. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other SLPs and OTs with a variety of backgrounds and experiences - learn from other amazing therapy team and share your own "tricks of the trade" with them!

  • Develop treatment plans for your individual clients.
  • Conduct evaluations using informal and formal testing protocols; diagnosis appropriate communication disorders.
  • Complete daily SOAP notes to document progress on goals.
  • Communicate with families to share client's progress, implement home programs, and support family priorities and needs.
  • Collaborate with other SLP's on the team to expand and increase knowledge and skills with using Evidence Based Practices.
What you bring:
  • A desire and willingness to make an impact in the communication, confidence and functional life skills of individuals with developmental delays and disorders.
  • Positive and patient demeanor.
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Credentialed Speech Language Pathologist in Early Intervention (or willingness to obtain).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from ASHA.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1+ years experience in speech pathology preferred, but strong CF candidates may be considered.
  • A valid driver’s license.
