Job summary

Regency Pacific seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in a hospital or care setting. Responsibilities include planning medically prescribed therapy, evaluating skills, reviewing orders and records, and performing initial evaluations with OASIS documentation when needed.

You will develop treatment plans with physicians and caregivers and conduct rehabilitative therapies to restore communication

Qualifications

• Education in speech-language pathology and licensure as a speech-language pathologist.
• Professional certification to provide speech therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing problems.
• Evaluates speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
• Reviews referrals, orders, and records to determine indicated therapy; accepts physician orders for services.
• Performs initial patient evaluation and documents OASIS assessments when appropriate.
• Prepares written treatment plans based on evaluation with physician, patient, and caregiver.
• Plans and conducts rehabilitative treatment to restore communicative function when applicable.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of speech pathology and language disorders

Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
