Job summary

The Helix School in San Rafael, CA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, provide direct service, and support communication goals for students with ASD and related neurodivergent profiles. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to develop IEP goals, provide therapy across classrooms, and document progress in alignment with FERPA and district requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing IEPs and participating in IEP meetings.
• Knowledge of AAC systems and developmental frameworks (SCERTS/DIR-Floortime).
• Experience with neurodivergent students, especially autistic.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide speech-language services aligned with IEP goals.
• Attend IEP meetings and help develop legally defensible goals and accommodations.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to integrate communication supports.
• Support student safety and participate in behavior intervention planning.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA and school policies.
