Job summary

GoldsboroRehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a full-time Speech Therapist to evaluate residents, design treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy within a collaborative rehab team.

CFY candidates are accepted. Must hold an ASHA-recognized MA/MS in communication disorders, NC licensure, and complete CFY. You will document progress, coordinate MD orders, and support patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with an MA, or MS in communication disorders recognized by ASHA and state board.
• Holds current license and/or registration in NC.
• Successful completion of CFY.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive speech therapy evaluations per MD orders.
• Document findings on the evaluation format neatly and accurately.
• Create a comprehensive treatment plan with long/short-term goals, frequency, duration and modalities.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for evaluations, treatments, recertification and discharges.
• Deliver treatment using modalities and adjust as indicated with precautions.
• Document patient progress in approved format in a timely manner.
• Update treatment plan monthly in a standardized format.
• Document discharge and in-service activities as indicated.
• Complete required documentation for care plans and MDS as needed.
• Participate in facility meetings and interdisciplinary team activities.
• Supervise junior staff or students per state/federal guidelines; co-sign CFY notes.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients, families and coworkers.
